Amotekun.net is a counter-terrorism charity website set up specifically to contain, and eliminate the spate of unprovoked, and unrelenting violent bloodshed and death including kidnappings for ransom and ritual killing in south western Nigerian states. The Sultan of Sokoto who himself is a Fulani, and the head of the Nigerian Fulani community in Nigeria as well as the head of Northern Nigeria Muslim community has said severally that Fulani herdsmen and their Yoruba collaborators have been responsible for the kidnapping incidents in south western states of Nigeria. Amotekun.net would like well-meaning Yoruba at home, and in the diaspora to come together, and use this medium to highlight the need to stamp out insecurity in Yorubaland. To this end, using sophisticated intelligence-gathering infrastructures both local and international would be very effective in stemming insecurity in Yorubaland – human intelligence gathering both locally, and within the African continent with focus and emphasis on the west African, north African and central African sub-regions where the Fulani plan invasions, and pillaging and deaths of host communities in south western Nigerian states. This website will also host a Blog where people can debate on current insecurity in the ancestral land of the Yoruba ethnic group whose total population is conservatively estimated to be in the region of about 80 million, although this figure is understandably disputed by other major ethnic groups without any concrete evidence. The whole purpose of setting up Amotekun.net is not to dismember Nigeria as a country but to make it stronger together , and much more secured and peaceful.
